Founded by Phillip Smith as Smith Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, The Jiu Jitsu Professor LLC is dedicated to providing quality martial arts education in the McDonough area. Our team is passionate about sharing the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fostering a supportive training environment for all ages.
Phillip Smith, Ph.D. began training Jiu-Jitsu in 1996. Smith quickly excelled at the sport and propagated himself as one of the most technical student and a great competitor participating in extensive important competitions. In Dec. 2007, after many years of training, Phillip Smith was promoted to the coveted Black Belt rank in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Dr. Phillip Smith is very happy to be able to share his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu passion with you.
Our mission is to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with integrity and respect while promoting physical fitness and personal growth in the local community, and to bring world-class instruction, passion for jiu-jitsu to inspire people to be their best selves and to make a difference in the lives of our students, their families, our community and the world through the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; providing them the right knowledge, mental attitude, skills in a caring family like environment. We believe jiu-jitsu is more than just a sport, self-defense system or fitness program; it’s a lifestyle that improves the whole person.
